Memorial Hours: Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial maintains the same hours as Black Shoals Park. Our hours are Thursday through Tuesday, Summer 8:00am – 7:00pm, Closed Wednesdays and National Holidays

The veterans memorial has an amphitheater where we hold our annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. Although the memorial is closed on national holidays, we open on Memorial Day and Veterans specifically for the ceremonies, which begin at 11am, and close the memorial after the ceremony ends.

There is also a pavilion. The amphitheater and pavilion can be reserved during park hours by emailing us.

Fees: Our memorial is free to the public but might require an entry fee into Black Shoals Park. During our signature events on Memorial Day and Veterans, access to the park and ceremony are free. There is also no fee to use the pavilion.
